Dear Sisters and Brothers of Tau Beta Sigma,
At the 2019 National Convention, the delegation voted to change the manner in which candidates are elected to the Tau Beta Sigma Board of Trustees: Life Members now comprise the voting body for Board of Trustees elections. This communication outlines the methodology and time frame for the Board of Trustees election leading up to the 2025 National Convention. Please read this information in its entirety, paying close attention to some deadlines that fall within the next few months.
A voter registration period will open on March 14, and remain open through May 6. Life Members wishing to vote in the Trustee election must register to vote online during this time frame. An email containing the registration link will be sent on March 14 to all life member email addresses on file in OPUS. More information on accessing your OPUS profile is included at the end of this letter.
Upon successful registration, a confirmation email will be sent from tbs@tbsigma.org to the email address submitted on the voter registration form. Eligibility will be verified for each Life Member who has registered to vote, and, should a problem with eligibility arise, you will be contacted separately.
Information packets about the candidates running for the Board of Trustees have been shared on the National Convention website.. Please keep an eye on social media and Tau Beta Tuesday email newsletters for more information.
The National Council serves as the nominating committee as outlined in section 2.104 of the National Constitution and will publish a nominations report on June 1, 2025. This report will be emailed to all Life Members who have registered and been verified as eligible to vote.
Voting will take place from June 12 through June 19, and ElectionRunner will be the platform utilized for elections. Registered and verified Life Members will be sent a unique electronic ballot link and instructions to the email address provided during the registration process.
In the event of a tie, a second runoff voting period will be held between June 21 and June 30. If this is required, a second electronic ballot link will be emailed.
Election results will be announced and posted on July 1, 2025.

Every initiated member of Tau Beta Sigma has a profile in OPUS. The basic member profile consists of contact information, membership information (current & past), and initiation dates & chapter member number. If National Headquarters has a valid email address on file for you, visit opus.kkytbs.org and use your email address followed by .kkytbs as your user name (name@email.com.kkytbs). If a valid email address is not on file for you, you may complete the form found here and National Headquarters staff will update your information and send you a link to establish your account in OPUS.

May 6 to May 30: Candidate Interviews occur
June 1: Nominations Report is published and sent to all registered voters

July 1: Election Results are announced and posted
