Dr. Nicholas (Nic) Rorrer (He/Him) is a Life Member of Kappa Kappa Psi from the Eta Beta chapter at Virginia Tech who currently serves as Kappa Kappa Psi’s National Vice President for Membership and Expansion. Originally, Nic was initiated into the Eta Beta chapter at Virginia Tech on November 29, 2007. While at Virginia Tech, Nic was a member of the Baritone Section of the Marching Virginians and served as the Band’s Operations Officer from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, while Nic was an Active Member of the HB Chapter, he served as Chapter Secretary (2008), Chapter Vice President, (2009), and Chapter President (2010). He also served as the Northeast District Secretary-Treasurer from 2010-2011.
Greg Boike is a Life Member from the Kappa Mu Chapter at the University of Georgia. He was initiated into Kappa Kappa Psi on April 26, 2009, and became an alumni member of the Fraternity on May 9, 2014, after completing his graduate degree. As an Active Brother, he served as the chapter’s Ritual Chair and Parliamentarian and was appointed to serve as the Regional Representative for the Central Region of the Southeast District from 2011-2012. The Kappa Mu Chapter voted Greg as “Mr. Kappa Kappa Psi” in 2014. As an Alumni Brother, Greg quickly became involved with the Southeast District Alumni Association (SEDAA), where he served as the second Chair of the current iteration of SEDAA from 2015-2017. He was also a founding board member of the Kappa Mu Alumni Association in 2017.
Daniel R. Miller, a Life Member of the Omicron Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi at West Virginia University, proudly serves as the fraternity’s current National Vice President for Programs (“NVPP”). Daniel is the current Sponsor of the Omicron Chapter and a former Chair of the Kappa Kappa Psi Alumni Association Board of Directors (“AABOD”).
Tammi (Rice) Ramsey (she/her) is a passionate, innovative, student-focused educator with over a decade of experience teaching both social studies and computer science. Currently, she oversees the Computer Programming Career Tech program at Sylvania Northview High School in Sylvania, Ohio, where she also serves as a Chapter Advisor for Business Professionals of America. Tammi became a Brother of Kappa Kappa Psi in April 2007, and has served in a variety of leadership roles at the chapter, district, and national level; most recently she has held the role of Vice Chair of the National Data & Assessment Committee. When she isn’t teaching, she is spending time with her husband Preston (Beta Kappa) and their kids, working on learning some new programming skills, sticking her nose in a new book, or knitting a new project.
Marc Renaud is a Life Member of the Zeta Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi at Michigan State University, where he was initiated in the Spring of 2007. During his time at Michigan State, Marc was an active member in the Spartan Marching Band as a Trumpet player. He also participated in the Spartan Brass. During the 2009 season, Marc served at the Marching Band President where he assisted the Directors and provided support to the members of the ensemble. Marc served the Zeta Epsilon Chapter as Corresponding Secretary in 2007-2008. In 2008 he was elected North Central District Vice President of Programs and then in 2009 he was elected President of the North Central District. In 2010, Marc was awarded the J. Lee Burke Student Achievement Award in recognition of his contributions made to the organization.
Arupa Gopal-Campbell (she/her) is honored to serve as National Vice President for Student Affairs of Kappa Kappa Psi. She is a Life Member of the Kappa Tau Chapter at the University of South Florida where she was initiated in the Spring of 2004. While active she served as Chapter President, Vice President of Membership, and represented the chapter as Delegate at District (serving as Chair of the Nominations Committee in 2006 and KKPsi Chair of the Convention Site Committee in 2007) and National conventions. She was also honored to be a member of the National Intercollegiate Band in 2005 and 2007.
Justyn “JP” Davis is the Assistant Director of Bands at Mauldin High School in Greenville, South Carolina, currently in his eighth year of teaching. At Mauldin, JP has been instrumental in leading the concert ensembles to achieve multiple superior ratings at concert and contest performances. Notably, he helped the Wind Ensemble perform for the first time at the 2019 SCMEA Professional Development Conference. He also directs the Mauldin High School Marching Mav Band, guiding them to significant accomplishments, including becoming Bands of America Regional Finalists and earning multiple appearances at the SCBDA 5A State Marching Band Finals, with a program-best finish of fourth place.
Ayleen Elizabeth Sanchez (She/Her/Hers) is a Life Member of Kappa Kappa Psi from the Alpha Chi chapter at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Ayleen became a Brother of the Alpha Chi Chapter on November 27, 2016. During her time at UTEP, Ayleen participated in numerous ensembles, playing clarinet in the Marching Miners, UTEP Pep Band, and Concert Bands. She was part of the petitioning group for the Alpha Chi Chapter, helping recharter the chapter in the fall of 2016.
Dr. Derek Stoughton has enjoyed a long and fruitful career in dedicated service to Kappa Kappa Psi, with extensive experience fostering growth, education, and collaboration within the organization. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Expansion Committee (2023–present), working to establish new chapters at universities nationwide. Previously, he served as the founder and chair of the Sponsor/Director Task Force (2021–2023), creating resources to support Chapter Sponsors and Directors of Bands in effectively managing their chapters. From 2017 to 2021, Dr. Stoughton contributed to the National Curriculum Committee, serving as chair from 2019 to 2021. In this role, he oversaw and enhanced the “Road to Wisdom,” the fraternity’s membership education curriculum, while presenting workshops and providing guidance to students nationwide.
Kyle Thompson (he/they) is a Life Member of the Delta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi at Eastern Michigan University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. In April 2024, he completed his Master of Arts in Educational Leadership: Higher Education/Student affairs from EMU. During his time at EMU, Kyle was known as the “Studio Switch Hitter” within the School of Music. Kyle’s primary was Flute, but started at EMU as a bassoonist. Kyle played Tenor Saxophone in Basketball Band and Jazz Ensemble, as well as the Pride of the Peninsula Marching Band where he served as Section Leader of the Tenors for two years. Kyle played Oboe and Clarinet in the EMU Concert Band, rounding out his collegiate performance experience as a woodwind doubler. He was the first music major at EMU to put on a full Woodwind Recital, performing 6 pieces on 5 different instruments for his Senior Recital. Kyle uses his music degree now to teach band camps, coach woodwind sectionals for local high schools, and perform as a pit musician for musicals across Southeast Michigan. Kyle has worked with over 20 different high schools, and played in over 50 musical productions ranging from local theatre productions to high end professional productions.
Kathrine (Katie) Boyer (she/her) was initiated into the Gamma Pi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi at Purdue University in the Spring of 2014. During her time with Gamma Pi, she served as Publicity Chair and Alumni Secretary. She was a proud member of Purdue University’s “All-American” Marching Band for four years, and still actively participates in alumni band every year. Katie proudly holds the title of Life Member.
Molly Kuchan is a Life Member of Kappa Kappa Psi and was initiated into the Kappa Alpha chapter at the University of Minnesota in Fall 2011. As an active member, she served as Chapter Webmaster, Vice President, and Midwest District Vice President. Since graduating in 2015, Molly has stayed engaged with Kappa Kappa Psi in various committees, task forces, and leadership positions, including serving on the Kappa Kappa Psi Alumni Association Board of Directors as the Outreach and Philanthropy Director and Vice Chair for Fraternal Development.
Donald Lee, Jr. is a licensed educator in Music, English, and Educational Administration with 30+ years experience and is currently Instructor of English and Coordinator of Internship Activities for the Department of English and Communications at South Carolina State University after having served 10 years as Director of Fine Arts and English Instructor at the Orangeburg High School for Health Professions. He is passionate about Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Advocacy; ensuring that everyone has a voice that is heard and valued and has served as chair and advisor for the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity’s national DEIA Committee.
Currently serving on the National Council and Board of Trustees as the Immediate Past President, Jessica McAlarney Lee was initiated into the Eta Alpha Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania on November 22, 2003. As an active Brother from 2004 – 2008, she served her chapter as Social Director, Vice President of Service, and Chapter President, where her chapter won the 2007 Northeast District John P. Ross Governor’s Cup for Most Improved Chapter. She also served the Northeast District as District President from 2007-2008. While at Lock Haven, Jessica performed as a percussionist with the LHU Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and Percussion Ensemble. In May of 2008, Jessica graduated cum laude with Bachelor of Science degrees in Special and Elementary Education.
Victoria Liu (she/her) is a Life Member of Kappa Kappa Psi from the Nu Chapter at the University of Michigan. She was initiated in January 2009 and served as an active Brother in a variety of roles, including Chapter Corresponding Secretary and Chair of joint (with ΤΒΣ- Λ) and separate committees for membership education, continuing membership education, ritual and regalia, and top chapter bids. Victoria served the North Central District as Chair of the 2011 Ad Hoc Policy Committee and standing Jurisdiction Committee and as a member of the 2012 Membership Education Committee. For her efforts, she was recognized in 2011 with the Nu Chapter’s “1925 Award,” given to the Brother of the year, and was a 2011 Yeoman Leadership Award campus-wide nominee for student leaders without a title. Victoria played piccolo and spun flag in the Michigan Marching Band and was principal flute and piccolo in the Campus Symphony Orchestra. In addition, Victoria served as an Arbiter for the University’s Office of Student Conflict Resolution; her service in this role was inspired by her anti-hazing advocacy that then led to her professional commitment as an advocate.
Preston M. Ramsey is an Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement with The University of Toledo Foundation, where he directs alumni engagement efforts for UToledo’s Health Science Campus colleges (Health and Human Services, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy) as well as for the Rocket Marching Band. Preston also coordinates regional alumni programming in Washington state, Oregon, and California. Additionally, his role includes support for annual giving and major gift efforts, oversight of alumni affiliate / chapter financials, and on-going stewardship.
